Mauricio Pochettino Talks Man United Rumours
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach, Mauricio Pochettino, has broken his silence over reports about him filling the Manchester United managerial vacancy.
Three days ago, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked as manager of the Red Devils following their humiliating 4-1 defeat to Watford. Michael Carrick has since been appointed as their interim coach.
Speaking on Tuesday, 23 November, ahead of PSG’s UEFA Champions League match against Manchester City, Pochettino was asked about the rumours that touted him as Solskjaer’s top replacement.
The Argentine responded: “[These rumours] cannot distract. Rumours are there, we need to live with that. We are so focused, giving 100 per cent to get our best from the club and the players. I am so happy at Paris Saint-Germain, for tomorrow we are so focused to get the best results we can.”
He added adamantly: “What another club is doing is not my business, I need to be focused on PSG. I’m not going to make the mistake of talking. … I love the club. I love the fans. We are fighting in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.”
